An alert subscription system for the No. 1 hospital in Texas
Houston Methodist comprises a leading academic medical center in the Texas Medical Center and six community hospitals serving the Greater Houston area. The highest priorities for its 15,000+ staff are patient safety, quality and service.
HM contracted me for a complete redesign of their alert subscription system, MASS. MASS allows Houston Methodist staff subscribe to receive alerts about the current status of the applications they use.
Before I wrote one line of code, I spent some time converting my project kickoff meeting notes into sketches and wireframes which got the approval of the CIO:
An essential feature requested for MASS 2.0 was a simple, intuitive and mobile interface - making the user experience as seamless as possible. Other requirements include adding a home page dashboard with a summary list of all applications that are not in normal status, and an admin component with the ability to send notifications to all users of MASS.
